Volunteering
We offer two ways to volunteer at the Central Park Zoo. As a seasonal Discovery Guide, you'll answer questions about animals, direct visitors around the zoo, assist with birthday parties, and run selected children's activities in the zoo.
As a year-round adult volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to train on one or more of the following roles:
- Serve as an educational interpreter at specific locations around the zoo
- Lead guided zoo tours
- Provide in-class educational program support
- Help out with special events
